Saura is located on Caspian coast nearby to Aqtau (~41 miles, ~67 km). Right at the entrance of this tract lays an eponymous abandoned settlement.

This gorge consists of plates of the same material, resembling the Napoleon cake.

It isn't just named Turtle lake, it is a turtle lake indeed. The inhabitants are...

Of course, that's not a native population, especially considered this specie coming from America. It was a virtue of a one person to free his domestic turtles into this place. And it appeared to be a good areal for them, so the populace is growing!

If you look on iNaturalist once again, you'll see these slders appearing next to Aqtau itself.

On our way to Zhygylgan we made a sanitary stop close to another abandoned structure.
